2023 A LEVEL RESULTS

We are pleased to announce an excellent set of A Level results for the 2022-23 academic year.

Grade A*: 37%
Grade A*-A: 70%
Grade A*-B: 90%

Harrow Hong Kong pupils have secured places at the world’s top Oxbridge and Ivy League universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Princeton and UPenn. The majority of our pupils have met their first choice offers, with acceptances for Medicine at Hong Kong University and places taken up at Tsinghua, Beijing.

Tiffany and Matthew, our first Asia International Schools Ltd Harrow Scholars, were each awarded four A* grades and were two of fifteen pupils to achieve straight A*s. Almost 50% of our Year 13 cohort secured a clean sweep of A* and A grades.

Following widely reported expectations of a drop in A Level grades back to pre-pandemic levels, we are delighted that our results are higher than in 2019, which is a testament to the dedication of our pupils and high-quality teaching at Harrow Hong Kong.

Head, Ann Haydon, said “Our congratulations go to each and every pupil on their first set of public examination results. We are incredibly proud, not only of these fantastic A Level results, but also of their achievements in service, art, drama, music and sport. We would like to take this opportunity to celebrate our pupils’ achievements and their contributions to the School over the years whilst wishing them success and happiness as they embark on the next stage of their education.”

2023 GCSE RESULTS

We are delighted to announce another set of excellent GCSE results at Harrow Hong Kong.

Grade 9: 46%
Grade 9, 8 & A*: 73%
Grade 9, 8, 7, A*, A: 87%

Almost a quarter of pupils were awarded 8 or more Grade 9s.

Our Year 11 pupils achieved outstanding results in Maths and Science-related subjects in particular, with 64% Grade 9s in Maths, 54% in Biology, 52% in Chemistry and 61% in Physics.

For the second year running, a Harrow Hong Kong pupil has been awarded full marks in their English Literature GCSE, following in the footsteps of 11 pupils who received top candidate awards in 2022.

Four sets of twins across the cohort scooped a remarkable total of 29 Grade 9s and 27 Grade 8s between them.

Head, Ann Haydon, congratulated all pupils on their outstanding results, “Our pupils have shown great resilience and strength of character, having started their GCSE courses remotely due to school closures last year. Their results are a testament to the diligence, dedication and the determination of pupils and staff at Harrow Hong Kong.”
