Harrow Hong Kong is delighted to announce that legendary mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington CVO will be the School’s Speaker’s Forum guest on Wednesday 14 March.

Sir Chris is lauded as one of the greatest mountaineers in history and will be addressing Harrow pupils, staff and parents on his extraordinary 70 year career of expeditions to the world’s greatest peaks.

He will tell the story of his first adventures on mountains in the early 1950s, to his ascent of the Old Man of Hoy – a repeat of his famous first ascent – at the age of 80, and will cover the best of his amazing adventures in between, with highlights including his heroic ascents of Everest and the Ogre.

He has made some 26 expeditions to the peaks of central Asia, including 12 first ascents of peaks over 6,000 metres.

Sir Chris gives a very personal story of adventure, triumph, adversity and tragedy, accompanied by unrivalled mountain photography and video, and we encourage the Harrow Hong Kong family to join us for this inspirational and not-to-missed lecture.

Time: 5.00pm
