SPEAKER’S FORUM: BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Harrow Hong Kong is delighted to be welcoming Dr. Hung Wai Ka as the next guest at Speaker’s Forum on Wednesday 7 February.

Dr. Hung is a breast cancer specialist, dedicated to promoting breast health and screening, and will be addressing the School community during Cancer Awareness Week.

Dr. Hung (MBBS (HK), MS (HK), FCSHK, FRCSEd(Gen), FHKAM(Surgery)) is a specialist in General Surgery, sub-specialising in Breast Surgery. He received advanced training in Breast Surgery in the UK in 1999, serving at Queen Mary Hospital and Kwong Wah Hospital for 18 years before moving to private practice in 2010. 

He was the recipient of the GB Ong Travelling Fellowship in 2009. With his clinical research in sentinel node biopsy and its application in Chinese patients, he was awarded the degree of Master of Surgery from HKU in 2012. 

Dr. Hung is an Honorary Consultant of the Well Women Clinics of the Tung Wah Groups of Hospitals, the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, the Matilda International Hospital and the Macao University of Science and Technology. He serves in the editorial board of the Hong Kong Medical Journal and he is the Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Society of Breast Surgeons. 

He has been involved in the operation of the Breast Health Centre (BHC) of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (HKBCF) since its inception in 2011 and has been a Council Member of the HKBCF since 2015.
