Christmas began early in the Early Years Centre with a wonderful Nativity show this year. Rehearsals for ‘It’s a baby‘ got underway at the beginning of November and throughout the school you could hear children and teachers singing all the songs and it started to get everyone into the Christmas spirit. We were all very excited when in the first week of December, we were allowed into the EYC to watch the children perform. The shared area had been transformed into a stable! There was a good deal of commotion, which kept the Innkeepers very busy. The Angels sang beautifully, the Camels followed the star which brought the Kings with their gifts. the Shepherds looked after their Sheep very well and the stable soon filled up with animals and visitors all coming to see the baby! The Gospel Choir raised the roof with their fabulous singing at the end of the show. The production was fun from start to finish and the children spoke and sung their lines with so much enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see the children with such confidence in front of their friends and families and we were very proud of all of them for their hard work and for creating such a lovely start to the Lower School’s Christmas festivities.
On Tuesday 13 December, the Pre-Prep School hosted the Carols by Candlelight event. Over 400 parents and 350 children participated and it was lovely to see our children wearing festive clothes! The candles were very popular and were sold out quickly.
The Music Teachers worked very hard for weeks leading up to Christmas, helping the students to learn Christmas songs and the accompanying actions.
It was a fabulous and memorable evening with a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Thank you to all the teachers, support staff and the class parents who gave their time to make this event such a success, and many thanks to all the Harrow Hong Kong families for joining us too.
