Eight-Year-Old Girl to Sing Solo at the City’s Christmas Concert

Chryso Hon (Y4H) will be performing with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong to sing a solo at the upcoming production The Snowman & The Bear on Sunday, 6 December 2015, 2.30pm at Shatin Town Hall. The production will tell two classic tales of friendship – one between a young boy and a snowman who he meets in his garden, and the other about a little girl who suddenly finds herself the caretaker of a bear from the North Pole. Chryso will be singing Somewhere a Star Shines on Everyone and Going to the Zoo, bringing audiences a hauntingly beautiful afternoon to the fables.

This is not Chryso’s first theatre production in the city. In 2014, she sang solo in the role of Young Cosette in Les Misérables presented by the Hong Kong Youth Choir in 2014 and in Summer 2015, she was selected to perform the role of Gretl in Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music. Chryso has participated in as many as 15 shows; she is always the shining star on the stage.

Mrs Gower, Head of Lower School, says, “We are tremendously proud of Chryso. She is such a talented young performer with great confidence as an individual. I will be an honoured guest in the audience on the 6th December and I can’t wait to see Chryso perform.”
