Sports Days in the Lower School

On Wednesday 17 February 2016, the annual Year 1 and Year 2 Sports Morning took place at School. The day consisted of seven fun and competitive activities based around full athletic events with all students competing in all activities.

In addition to this there was a ‘Parents Versus Teachers Tug of War’ and a ‘Parents’ Sprint Race’. The morning drew to a close with the finals of the boys’ and girls’ sprints. In the end, Dragon House won with a points total of 15,960.

On Tuesday 16 February, Years 3, 4 and 5 took part in their Annual Sports Day held at the fabulous Tuen Mun Tang Shui Kin Sports Ground. Every pupil had the opportunity to compete in all events: shot putt, discus, javelin, long jump, 60m, 200m, 800m and the relay.

The morning session began with Year 3 and some exceptional performances from Penny Robinson (Y3, Monkey) and Matthew Hubbard (Y3, Monkey) who both won a total of three events each! Next on the track were Year 4, with Tiggy Tutt (Y4, Horse) gaining three wins and Jack Callan (Y4, Tiger) achieving two wins.

The final year group to compete was Year 5. The times were very close across the boys’ events, with Arthur Clayton (Y5, Ox) winning a total of two events. One of the most impressive performances on the day was by Eva Morely (Y5, Monkey) who won five out of seven events which is a fantastic effort.
